Free screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing at the Picture Hoose, Gourock

On Thursday 18th June at 7pm at The Picture Hoose, Gourock.

Green Tangerine hosted a free screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing.

The People’s Emergency Briefing is a 45 minute documentary hosted by Chris Packham. 

The film brings together several UK scientists explaining changes we’re seeing in weather, food systems and the cost of living, and how these might affect everyday life in the UK.

In November, ten leading UK experts gave a National Emergency Briefing on climate and nature in Westminster to an audience of MPs, business leaders, faith leaders and VIPs.

We were thrilled to welcome 28 local residents, alongside our MP Martin McCluskey and Councillors John Crowther and Francesca Brennen, to watch this vital film.  Followed by a great discussion about how we push for faster, more urgent and effective action from the Government in order to keep our community safe from harm.

Green Tangerine and The Picture Hoose joined forces in November 2025 to host a movie and cocktail night featuring 'Lost for Words', a scientific film with an artistic heart which celebrates our relationship with nature through an odyssey around the UK with people of all ages and from all walks of life.
